SS New York Shipwreck

The SS New York sank off the coast of Galveston in 1846. Unlike other shipwreck recoveries, this one contained a wide assortment of gold coins of different denominations from Southern Branch mints like New Orleans, Dahlonega and Charlotte. Of all the four major shipwrecks, coins from the SS New York are the most elusive.
